Collection: marie baudet
Marie Baudet was born in La Rochelle in 1983. A film school graduate, she also studied graphic design at Gobelins. After a long 17-year hiatus in Paris, she returned to her hometown, where the peaceful living environment now enables her to develop long-term graphic projects.
Shrouded in a rohmerian nostalgia, her elegant, naive paintings of anonymous faces are inspired by photographs gleaned from her family albums. They take us back to our own childhood memories and evoke the last vestiges of the douceur de vivre from the 70's and 80's
An illustrator for the press, the indie music scene and fashion (Ricky Hollywood, Les femmes s'en mêlent, Marie Claire, Olow, Carven, 476 ...), Marie Baudet has been represented since 2019 by the Arts Factory gallery.
In 2023, Virages Graphiques published L'amour, après, her first comic book based on a script by Baptiste Sornin, soon followed by Eyes Without a Face, a solo project for the same publisher.
