Elizabeth Pich, a writer and illustrator, was born in 1989 in Germany. She grew up in the United States before returning to her native country at the age of 14.

While studying at the Saarbrücken Academy of Fine Arts, she met Jonathan Kunz, with whom she began creating Wars and Peas in 2011, a series of English-language comic strips with ultra-viral humor. Followed by a community that now boasts over a million followers on social media, the duo has also published several books in Europe and the United States.

Alongside the success of Wars and Peas, Elizabeth embarked on a solo project with the adventures of Fungirl. A worthy successor to Gaston Lagaffe and Olive - Popeye’s eternal fiancée with a queer twist - Fungirl combines, much to our delight, the nonchalance of the former with the latter’s undeniable appetite for a good fight.

Summoning the dark humor of Six Feet Under, the suburban landscapes of Ghost World, and a zany trashiness that John Waters would be proud of, Elizabeth Pich’s comics are published in France by Les Requins Marteaux and Super Loto, in Germany by Moderne Editions, and in the U.S. by Silver Sprocke.
