Marine, also known as Minimaki,
was born in Dieppe in 1987.
After spending her childhood on Reunion Island, she returned to mainland France to study at the École Supérieure d'Architecture in Montpellier and the Saint-Etienne art school, followed by a university course in art history and archaeology.
Passionate about late antiquity, medieval and religious iconography, Minimaki devours old books to immerse herself in their symbolism and recreate this fascinating cultural heritage in her illustrations .
With a solid technical background and equal comfort with literature, science, and history, she infuses her editorial projects with vibrant energy, through a spontaneous but always undercontrolled graphic style.
In 2024, Minimaki began a collaboration with Tibert Publishing, illustrating Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter, before diving into the universe of cosmic horror master, Howard Philips Lovecraft.
