Collection: war and peas

Elizabeth Pich and Jonathan Kunz met at the Saarbrücken Art School in Germany. Since 2011 they have been drawing together under the name War and Peas comic strips with morbid and surreal humor.

Through a gallery of recurring characters such as Slutty Witch and her vampire boyfriend, the policeman Officer McSexy or a slightly depressed Grim Reaper, they tackle subjects like loneliness, climate change and sexuality through an uninhibited feminist prism.

True stars of social networks, they alone have more subscribers than male praying mantises killed during each Valentine's Day.

Since 2021 they have participated in the Rewriting Extinction project which fights the climate and biodiversity crisis alongside Jane Goodall, Taika Waititi and Ricky Gervais.

In France their books are now published by Les Requins Marteaux who have recently released Salut La Terre as well as Vulva Viking and Fun Girl, the very noticed solo comics by Elizabeth Pich.
